Bujinkan Friends in Texas
There are many great instructors in the Bujinkan. Below are personal friends or acquaintances of mine, that have great talent, spirit and I completely recommend them as qualified teachers of Bujinkan combat arts.
"Doc"
Sones is a "Shihan Shidoshi" (Master Instructor) with an 11th. Dan ranking in
Bujinkan Taijutsu. My friend and one of my many Sensei. As of late, the "Ethereal
Dragon" as he is known, is occupied in constructing homes for Texas families.
Castleberry Bujinkan Dojo (no website yet)
David Castleberry Sensei has a most rare ability with the most common of objects - the walking cane. David Sensei is a combat United States Marine Corps warrior, with a lot of combat experience. Hi wisdom and down to earth attitude has rubbed off on me in the best possible way.
George Russell Sensei has a very special ability to bring out the bushi (warrior) spirit in his students. I am very privileged and honored to be a member of the LHBD Bujinkan Black Belt ranking board. His students have great spirit and heart!
After several years of being contacted by those desiring Bujinkan training in the Dallas / Fort Worth seeking a personal recommendation for a competent instructor, I can finally (and proudly) do so! I met Shidoshi Molitor and was most impressed by his intelligence, keen perception, skills and much more. You just can't do much better for a choice in a Bujinkan Sensei.
My friend and student, Kevin Sensei, is starting up a Shibu (Dojo branch) in North Dallas. For beginners, this is an excellent opportunity to experience Bujinkan Ninpo Taijutsu. Kevin Sensei is a dedicated student and teacher.
Brent Sensei has been training in the art of ninjutsu as long as I can remember since it was first introduced here in Texas. Check out his excellent website. I greatly admire his positive spirit! Many people have asked me if I recommend Brent Sensei - I wholeheartedly do!
Richard
Elizondo Sensei and I met at a Bujinkan ranking ceremony in May 2003. He greatly
impressed me with his teaching skills, warm sense of humor and open heart. We
both share a passion for ancient weapons. Richard Sensei visited our dojo,
and we were very impressed with his skill. In my opinion, he is way under
ranked. We became instant close friends. Richard Sensei's tireless efforts made
the 2005 Ninja Summit a great success.
This is Mr. Thom Humphreys site. Known as "The King of Texas" after my Master Dr. Sones coined the term, Thom Sensei ROCKS in the arts of ground fighting. A fellow Scot and Norseman, Thom has a big heart and is a lot of fun to be around with.
Beto Sensei impressed my group and myself when I met him at the 2005 Ninja Summit. His skill, knowledge and friendliness makes him a super guy and teacher. His student, Ken Hood, was a real treat to get to know as well!
His dojo, Kukishinka Bujinkan Dojo , is located in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Scott Johnson runs a great training group in Harlingen, Texas. I recommend him as a soild person to get to know and train with.
